Prakash Manu

A renowned poet, story writer, novelist and critic, has a unique place in the Hindi Literature. Refused the easy ways and always chosen difficult and challenging paths as his very own since he believes that without facing challenges no work of art can be truly creative.

His long informal interviews taken with most renowned personalities of the Hindi literary field have been most talked about. Thus a new style of interviews was introduced by him in contemporary Hindi Literature.

Prakash Manu's novels, 'Yeh Jo Dilli Hai', 'Katha Circus' and 'Papa Ke Jane Ke Baad' have presented the inner realities of the present day media and the people and life of our times. On one hand, his poems and stories have a marvellous sketch of one's inner and outer struggles, brokenness, and alienation and on the other, they attempt to map an altogether new world. Similarly, his work on criticism and historic accounts is remarkable and unique. It is his own style which appeals to many hearts and minds
